The Night Cat

The real underground is back, with Jovonn's return to Australia for the first time in nearly a decade and the world premier of his new hybrid/live set at Gateway Festival this December. And if that’s not enough for you? He’ll be DJing all night long for an exclusive set at the Night Cat following the main festival.

After making his mark with the 1991 release 'Turn and Runaway', Jovonn's fresh, soulful take on house music led to a stream of influential releases on labels like Kult Records, Soundmen On Wax, and his own imprints, Goldtone Records and Body 'N' Deep. Jovonn quickly became a key figure in the underground house scene, shaping its evolution with his signature blend of deep grooves and rich melodies.

After a brief hiatus in the mid-90s, Jovonn made a triumphant return with DJ Deep on the track "Back in the Dark". A story of his personal experience in the New York house scene, the song blends deep grooves, soulful melodies, and Jovonn's self-reflection on his return. Truly timeless, the track captures the essence of underground house music and has been a staple since release.

Don't miss your last chance to see the renowned New York producer and DJ in his element.
