Elias Alexander @ Shotkickers
Get your fix of Sunday fix of disco, fiddle, funk, folk, electronics and trad-rave vibes at Shotkickers with viral U.S. electro-celtic artist Elias Alexander and local Naarm legends Apolline & Jackson Fumberger.
Elias Alexander is a rare performer who combines live looping and electronics with a wide variety of instruments from bagpipes to fiddle, guitar, whistle and keys. With deep roots in traditional Scottish and American music, but a boundless appetite for possibility, rhythm, and expression, Elias takes audiences on a mind blowing journey through traditional tunes, original songs, and danceable fun.
AFMA Youth Artists of the Year 2024, Apolline is a stunningly virtuosic trio of young folkies, combining fiddle, cello, double bass and an extensive collection of colourful socks. The group views folk music through fresh eyes with foot-stomping sets and original songs to bring you an utterly delightful experience.
Jackson Fumberger is an Australian violinist, maker and visual artist with a love for orchestral and new music. Combining an electric 5-string violin with electronics, effects, surround sound and generative art, he explores the limits of what a solo violin can do in the modern era.
