CRUCIFORM: One of the most significant bands to emerge from the vital early 1990s Australian Metal scene, pioneering Sydney Death-Doom institution Cruciform return for their first local headlining show in three years. Since their reformation in 2012, the band have played alongside such major international acts as Immolation, Paradise Lost, Dead Congregation, Conan and Bell Witch. Expect to hear classic tracks from their early days alongside crushing new material.

THE VEIL: The Veil's distinctive sound, as showcased on their second album Impermanence, draws in equal part from Peaceville Doom and Post-Punk gloom, with trace elements of Black Metal, Shoegaze and dark folk. A mainstay of the local scene over the late 2000s and 2010s, the band has shared stages with Alcest, Anathema, Uriah Heep, Nazxul and Solstice, and also made an appearance at the cult Dublin Doom Days festival.  Returning from a hiatus with a lean and revitalised new lineup, The Veil will be previewing songs from their upcoming third album along with selections from their previous releases.

MAGMA ONE: Having served as key members of past acts such as Grenade, Chaotic Impurity, Infinite Black and Lord Kaos, Magma One's two founding musicians forged ahead with a powerful new rhythm section to create the band's mesmerising progressive retro doom sound. Armed with expansive songs based on mystical themes, delivered with unrestrained volume and attack, Magma One will bring their Blue Mountains Majik to The Vanguard stage.

AMAMMOTH: Generating a riff-heavy yet spacious wall of sound in true power trio fashion, Amammoth will open the evening with their rolling, hypnotic Doom/Sludge hybrid. The band's debut album "The Fire Above" is out now on Electric Valley Records.
