Event Details

Cowboy Malfoy, the artistic pseudonym of Max Russell, is a trans non-binary musician hailing from Sydney. At the youthful age of twenty-two, Max, a versatile artist known for their roles as a songwriter and producer, burst onto the music scene during their tenure at NYU's Clive Davis Institute. Their debut track, "How I'd Kill," marked the inception of a journey that now positions them on the verge of a significant breakthrough, garnering tens of millions of streams. Excitingly, Cowboy Malfoy has announced two intimate shows for Australian audiences this January. In support of the release of their sophomore single 'Head Start', the Australian tour takes in two stops across Sydney and Melbourne and promises fans an array of original songs married with some very special moments.

Max's creative reservoir draws from a diverse life story, meandering through international schools in Vietnam and France. This unique background is reflected in their music, which skillfully navigates the spectrum between alternative and pop. Influences from artists like Kings Of Convenience, laufey, Chick Corea, and Japanese indie pioneers Lamp contribute to the dynamic and compelling nature of Cowboy Malfoy's work. Tickets on sale now.
