Country Music Raceday Campsite FAQ’s


What does the camping package include?

Each campsite includes a 12m x 6m unpowered site.  Maximum number of guests are either 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.   2 Rodeo GA + 2 Country GA tickets (entry only) will be provided.  If you have more than 2 guests attending the Rodeo and Raceday you will need to purchase additional tickets.


Check in /Check out times

Check in to Doomben campsite via Gate 2 on Nudgee Road on Friday, 10 September from 11am onwards.

Check out on Sunday, 12 September by 10am.


Start times for Rodeo and Raceday

Country Music Rodeo – Friday, 10 September: 4:00pm

Country Music Raceday – Saturday, 11 September: 10:30am


Can I bring my car?

Each campsite is allowed one car/van/campervan/trailer


Are there any powered sites and can I bring my own generator?

NO, all sites are unpowered.  You can bring your own generator, BUT we have a strict noise curfew between 7.00am and 5.00pm on the Saturday Raceday due to horse movement, so all generators must be turned off between these hours. 


Are there toilets and showers?

Yes, we have sufficient communal showers and toilet facilities located in the camping areas.


Is there a designated smoking area?

There are designated outdoor smoking areas (DOSA) available 


Is there water available on site?

Yes, there is drinking water available within the camp site.


Are there dump sites available?

NO dump sites are available for emptying toilet or shower waste.


Is first aid available on site?

Staff with Basic First Aid will be available throughout your stay at the camps.


Can I bring my pet?

NO, animals are not permitted anywhere on the racecourse (including the camp sites), except in accordance with the law. We permit the use of Guide and Assistance Dogs within both the Racecourse and camping areas. If you are camping with your Assistance Dog, please respect other patrons by cleaning up after your dog.  Please notify us if you have an assistance dog attending the camp.


Can I bring/have my own alcohol in the camping area?

Alcohol will NOT be permitted in the camping area as it is an unlicensed area. Security on site will be patrolling to monitor this. Alcohol will be available to purchase at the Rodeo and Raceday. 


Can I light a campfire?

NO campfires, gas barbecues or fire pits using heat beads are permitted. These are strictly prohibited. 


If there is bad weather and I decide that I don’t want to come will I get a refund?

NO. The event will take place rain, hail or shine, and no refunds will be given if patrons decide not to attend.


Do you have food on site?

NO. During the Rodeo and Raceday events there will be a wide range of food and beverages available inside the Racecourse. Please note there are NO cooking facilities available on site. 


What items are not allowed in the camping area?

Pets or animals (except assistance dogs), fires or open flames, fireworks, laser pointers, alcohol (alcohol purchased at the Racecourse must NOT be removed from the licensed area), items that can be used as a weapon, balloons, confetti or shredded paper, musical instruments or loud hailers, drugs, illegal substances, chemicals or radioactive substances are NOT permitted.  Items that are confiscated might NOT be returned.


Is the camp site charged per site or per person?

Camp sites are 12m X 6m and are unpowered. If a tent, car, caravan or motorhome does not all fit within this designated space, patrons will need to purchase an additional site. Please note if you do not unhook from your caravan (and it does not fit within the 12m x 6m footprint), you will be required to purchase two spaces. Please contact the sales team if you need 2 sites.  Camp Sites will be allocated between Camp Site A and B and by rows. Spaces will be allocated on a first in, first served basis (so ensure you arrive with your friends if you would like to be near them!).


Is it safe to leave my valuables in my tent or on my camp site?

Despite the best efforts of our staff and security, we are NOT able to guarantee the safety of valuables and accept NO responsibility for items left on course.  


What COVID regulations would we need to abide by?

All campers will need to register using their Check in QLD App when they arrive.  Other restrictions may be enforced depending on the Queensland Health Government restriction at the time.


What is the cancellation policy?

There is a NO refund policy for any cancellation. If the event is cancelled due to COVID -19 a refund will be provided for all ticketed functions and credit for private functions.
