Blues rock, a little folk and a sprinkle of surf/country and pop singalong
Described as “Oasis meets Jack Johnson with Chris Cornell feels”, by Scenestr magazine, CB Ghost is an original beast (or Ghost).
This original solo artist (and his band of merry Ghosts) is making serious headway with his first three singles Hollywood Hills, Hold Down Hymn and newly released “Beautiful Middle Finger” (out 27th September).
CB's band consists of "the best rock violinist in the county" in Archie P, all the way from Bonnie Scotland. On drums (and backing vocals) is the seasoned and formidable Glenn B and on bass (and good vibes co-ordination) is Mika T... Collectively they are a combination like no other - "Ghosts don't want to live forever", an apt lyric from their new single "Beautiful Middle Finger" that describes their high energy "leave nothing on the table" crowd incumbersing shows.
Their live performances have manifested into an entertaining, rollicking, sentimental and danceable-as-all hell must see show.
Mixing blues rock, a little folk and a sprinkle of surf/country and pop singalong songs that lean heavily on a riptide of feel good drum beats.
With a love of catchy and thought provoking lyrics, authentic urban and ocean themed tunes and hip swinging beats and melodies this chance to sing, dance, laugh and cry is not one to be missed.
Joining CB Ghost for their only Sydney show for 2024 will be local artist Gene Gibson (and his band).
A folk-rock musician from Sydney, who also loves to entertain, and takes inspiration from the classic Americana songwriting from the sixties and seventies and revitalise it with a distinctly modern lyrical twist.
New single “Before the Ship Went Down” out now.
