Porcelain Doll Presents
Burlesk of The Bizarre - Out West!
Burlesk of the Bizarre is a descent into the visceral, the jagged, and the wrong.
This is a ritual for the monsters, the misfits, and the maladjusted. We are tearing the throat out of traditional cabaret to celebrate the dark, the weird, and the strange and unusual. From the avant garde and the gothic to cold, conceptual fetish, this is a raw, unapologetic sermon of filth, comedy and subversion. It's alternative burlesque, sideshow and drag for the strange and unusual.
Brought to you by Porcelain Doll, your local perverted dolly and purveyor of "dark arty shit," this is a grimy, high octane collision of skin and shadow that does not care if you are comfortable. If you are looking for a pretty night out, stay home. If you want to witness the unconventional pushed to its breaking point, step into the void.
Where else but local Penrith iconic venue Elton Chong could we hold this night of alternative performance, filthy smut and artistic carnage?
In the true mayhem of Burlesk of The Bizarre this is not a theatre seated event. The performers will be on the stage, on the bar and possible in your face/ lap. There are some seats. There are some standing areas, you might want to prop yourself up nice and close to the bar. This show is a rock n' roll vibe in a rock n' roll venue just strap in and come along for the ride! (If you need a seat for accessibility please arrive early and let the FOH know).
Stay weird. Stay dark. Get in.
Leave being confused, possibly terrified and definitely turned on!
Consent is sexy. No touching unless invited. Don't be a dick. No photos/video when it gets risque. This is a LGBTIQA+ friendly event. Accessible access and bathroom on site.
"If you’re going to venture to a burlesque show this Fringe, make sure this one’s it." — Cream Magazine, Perth Fringe World
"Perhaps the biggest take-away from this show is the positive messages it conveys. The performers were all different ages and physiques, showing beauty is more than what society claims it to be. The show promotes the idea of positive body image, and for... (humans)... to embrace themselves for who they truly are." — Tulpa Magazine, Adelaide Fringe
