Select Music & THAA Records present…
BATTS - The Grand Tour Album Launch With Special Guests
This June BATTS will be bringing her debut album 'The Grand Tour' to life in a series of live shows along the East Coast of Australia.
Beginning the tour in Brisbane supporting one of her all time favourite singer-songwriters Sharon Van Etten.
The Grand Tour is a concept album focused on Voyager 1 from NASA's 1977 'Twin Voyager' mission. From the moment it left Earth until it crossed into Interstellar Space, BATTS has placed live samples captured by Voyager with permission from NASA and Don Gurnett at the University of Iowa throughout the album, with this BATTS takes you on her interpretation of Voyager's journey through space, through sound. The album consists of a mix of fictional stories and real tales.
The full band live shows will see the album being played start to finish with the aim to give you the full experience.
