Avgenicos Bros 'Reduction'

Reduction is the joint creative project led by brothers Michael (sax) and Tom Avgenicos (trumpet). Their project showcases their lifelong musical dialogue amongst a love of modern jazz, groove and electronic sound scapes. They will be joined by Novak Manojlovic (piano/synths) and Alex Hirlian (drums) and will perform new material as well as repertoire from their debut album Treading Water.

Bike Thief
BIKE THIEF incite movement. Extracting sharp, percussive textures and ethereal drones out of keyboards, double bass, drums and electronics, the trio improvises dense rhythmic explorations that draw on the sound worlds of techno and garage as much as the Australian improvised music scene.

Another Green World
Another Green World is a Sydney based duo led by Pianist, Lauren Tsamouras and features Harry Birch on double bass. The music is written to challenge the role of each instrument in a drum free setting. Another Green World navigates pulsatile, ostinato based compositions where the improvisation is informed by the architecture of each piece.
