The 2022 Top End Racing Awards, featuring the Carlton United Breweries Horse of the Year, will be held on Friday, September 16 on Level 1 of the New Public Grandstand at the Darwin Turf Club. 

The night aims to recognise and celebrate excellence in the Top End racing industry over the 2021/22 racing season.

Equine awards include:

• CUB Horse of the Year
• Ladbrokes 3 Year-Old of the Year
• Sprinter of the Year (up to 1300m)
• Middle Distance/Stayer of the Year (above 1300m)
• Out-of-Carnival Performer of the Year
• Country Performer of the Year

Human awards include:

• Trainer of the Year
• Jockey of the Year
• Apprentice Jockey of the Year
• Strapper of the Year
• Character of Racing Award 
• Off the Track Aftercare
• Women in Thoroughbred Racing NT Leading Female Trainer (Alice Springs)
• Women in Thoroughbred Racing NT Leading Female Trainer (Darwin)
• Women in Thoroughbred Racing NT Leading Female Jockey (Alice Springs)
• Women in Thoroughbred Racing NT Leading Female Jockey (Darwin)
• Silks Darwin Trainer of the Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival
• Silks Darwin Jockey of the Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival

Tickets are $75 which includes a two hour canape package, two complimentary drinks and live entertainment.
