Women In Music Sydney is a nonprofit organisation bringing together a dynamic group of dedicated music industry professionals to network. Our network is all about building connections with other women in the industry within a relaxed environment. The vibe is very much about like minded women getting together sharing ideas, opportunities, knowledge and experience. It's also about inspiring each other.

We are proud to announce our next event, Women in Music Sydney In Conversation with Maria Amato, Presented by Jaxsta and MusicNSW at The Works Glebe. Held on Thursday October 27 starting at 7:30am, we'll be having a catered networking breakfast to catch up with familiar faces and meet some new ones over coffee and a light breakie.

We'll be joined by our special guest Maria Amato, General Manager at the Australian Independent Record Label Association (AIR). Our very own Jacqui Louez Schoorl has been nominated by Maria to lead an In Conversation session.

We also have the privilege of getting a presentation on understanding financial statements that Maria has very kindly offered for our members. Understanding balance sheets and profit and loss statements is a crucial skill to have, whether you're an aspiring artist, manager or wanting to start your own business in the music industry.

As usual, we'll have hampers and goodies up for grabs in our raffle to raise money for our nominated charity. This time we're raising funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia, as nominated by Maria Amato. If you're interested in getting your business involved and donating goods and/or services for our raffle, please contact mari.stuart@jaxsta.com.

Tickets will cover a catered networking breakfast, including a barista made coffee or tea, an In Conversation session with special guest Maria Amato moderated by Jacqui Louez Schoorl and a presentation from Maria on useful financial skills applicable across all aspects of the music industry.

Tickets are on sale now! Don't delay as tickets to this fantastic opportunity are strictly limited.
