Split Milk is your perfect weekend festival outing. Nestled in the centre of Canberra, the festival draws audiences from all over Australia. Having completely exhausted all tickets in 18 minutes for 2016, followed by a record-setting 9 minutes for 2017, this is not one to sleep on. Canberra locals will have a chance at scoring a Homegrown ticket first via a Spilt Milk pop-up on July 1, while the rest of Australia can sign up to pre-sale for their opportunity to secure tickets on July 3. General admission release will go on sale July 5.
Alongside the mammoth musical line-up is a team of incredibly innovative visual artists, who will transform Commonwealth Park into a weird and wonderful playground of visual delights. Leading the pack is Hamburg based artist, Stefanie Thiele. First and foremost a painter, Stefanie's extensive background across photography, graphic design, textiles, sculpture and more, will guide a team of local Canberran artists to create artistic experiences, installations and decor that will overload your senses and transport you to another world.
Between acts, a delectable selection of food vendors will be there to satiate your appetites to keep you going all day long. Awaken your tastebuds with the enticing Asian street food from Bao Brothers, go full, finger-lickin' guilty pleasure with Dirty Bird Food Truck or stick with the cult classic burgers from Chur Burger.
